FRANKENSTEIN – INTRODUCTION
From today I will be starting a new series of educational resources on this site. The first is a series of short animated movies with attached learning materials to provide an introduction to classic literature. I am beginning with Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. The movie is five minutes long and contains the story of the genesis of the book and one key scene from the story. I will follow up with more of these if enough interest is shown.
These products are not free. They can be purchased at the TeachersPayTeachers site by clicking on the image or on the link at the bottom of this for other available lessons. Frankenstein can be purchased on TpT for $3.50. Comments by purchasers are very welcome as I’d like to improve the products.
The full lesson contains;
1. A short full color comic of the scene where the monster is brought to life that can be used for writing exercises.
2. A task sheet (pdf) for the movie containing several types of listening and word quizzes about the events leading up to the writing of the book by Mary Shelley. This comes with script and teachers answer sheet.
3. Details on how to obtain the video. There is a link to an online HD version of the movie along with the password necessary to view it. There are also instructions on how to download mp4 HD or SD versions of the film for use on computer, iPad/iPod. There is also a mail address in case of problems downloading.
