Another new lesson. This time a news program aimed mainly at intermediate students. This will be mainly listening with shorter online and PDF exercises than the other lessons. There is also a video, mp3 listening file to download for each episode. Enjoy the show!

There are some useful words and expressions to learn below.
throughout – all over
heatwave – a period of unusually hot weather
~straight (day) – continuous
emergency services – police, fire, ambulance
related – connected with
patients – sick people in a hospital
break down – break
majority – most
population – number of people in a (country)
to book – to reserve (a room)
weather forecast – give information about future weather events
