As promised the Queen’s Christmas Message 2007. It starts with the beginning of the 1957 message. This again is more for advanced level students, but the language used is slow and clear.

Couldn’t resist this. The British Royal family have opened a website on YouTube. There is lots of interesting stuff that I might use in future lessons. But for today, there is a video of the Queen’s 1957 Christmas message. This is suitable for advanced speakers of English, although some intermediate speakers may find it useful as the language is slow and clear. I will include a link to the 2007 Christmas message as soon as it’s up. It will be interesting to compare any differences in language – as well as historical realities – for then (1957) and now, fifty years later.
