Still on summer holiday so this is an extra lesson for intermediate students. As we’re about to enter that long period of media circus called the US Presidential Race here is a short animated video on the Republican candidate – John McCain.
This is a reading exercise. There are some new words for you to learn below.

Mormon – member of a religion based in Utah, USA.
spokesman – somebody who speaks for a group
campaign – a plan of action
suck up to – to try and influence someone by being nice to them
behind this – the reason or person responsible for something happening
