There are some useful words and expressions to learn below. More are in the text.

Oh you know… - this has the same meaning as ‘Well….’

clear weeds - cut down useless plants, grass or flowers

a night out with the lads - a drinking party with friends

an evening in - stay at home

a bit dead - boring, nothing exciting happening
